Building phase: September 2011 – September 2013

Challenge:

The building phase was divided into three stages. The facade was contracted as an independent work item and produced in aluminium. The challenge for the wooden construction was in the temporal coordination of the two units of work - the project was intended to be carried out in the shortest possible time.

Innovation:

For structural reasons, the panel elements for the ceilings were produced in a glued design.

Solution:

We were able to produce the elements in our own facility on the strength of our Part C gluing authorisation. Our specially trained staff were able to implement the planning in conformity with the structural design. This resulted in the creation of elements which, meeting the sound insulation requirements with an intermediate sand layer and insulation, reached an enormous weight of up to 6 tonnes. The flat roofs were implemented as “inverted roofs”. The incorporation of a humidity adaptive membrane ensures the re-drying of the roofs.

Result:

A total of 20 classrooms in wooden construction, as well as a new sports hall were implemented in a short construction time.
